What to Expect at Your Body-Contouring Session

What to Expect at Your Body-Contouring Session

Nothing is more frustrating than being at, or close to, your goal weight and still being able to pinch an inch of fat on your waist.

Diet and exercise are essential components of our digital weight-loss program here at at Weston Medical Health & Wellness. However, despite your efforts and commitment, eating right and working out may not be enough to help you get the body you want.

Because our weight-loss expert and medical director, Dr. Andrea Bretal, loves nothing more than helping our patients look and feel their best on their weight-loss journeys, we offer nonsurgical body-contouring treatments.

With our innovative body-contouring tool, Verjú® from Erchonia®, we can help you get rid of the stubborn fat from your waist, thighs, and hips.

Here, we want to share what you can expect during your body-contouring sessions.

About body contouring

Not too long ago, your only option for getting rid of unwanted body fat was liposuction. But with advances in aesthetic technology, you can improve the look and shape of your body without invasive surgery.

Verjú is a nonsurgical body-contouring device that uses low-level laser energy to liquify the fat inside your fat cells. The fat then leaks through a pore in the cell membrane, causing the fat cell to shrink.

Your body’s lymphatic system picks up the fat that spills from the cell and eliminates it from your body, creating a slimmer and trimmer figure.

What to expect during

Our body-contouring treatments are relaxing and painless. All you have to do is sit back and let the laser tool do all the work. Because Verjú is a low-level laser system, you won’t feel any heat or sensation during your session.

For body contouring, we treat each area for 15 minutes. This usually involves treating the front and back, which means a typical body-contouring session takes about 30 minutes.

We recommend a series of 4-6 body-contouring sessions, spaced every three days, to get the best results.

What happens after

There’s no downtime following body-contouring treatments, and Verjú causes no swelling or redness. It’s a completely symptom-free body-contouring treatment.

We do, however, recommend you follow our body-contouring treatment protocol, which includes:

This protocol improves the movement of fluids through your lymphatic system, which helps move the displaced fat from your body so you get better results.

When to expect results

Results vary, but you may start to notice changes in how your clothes fit after the first three body-contouring sessions. Your friends and family may start commenting on your slimmer figure within 1-2 weeks.

You can lose up to 4 inches and drop a few clothing sizes with our body-contouring treatments. We recommend you continue to eat a healthy diet and stay physically active to maintain your new shape. Though, you can also come in for maintenance body-contouring treatments as needed.

To learn more about our effective and painless body-contouring treatments, call our office in Weston, Florida, or use our website scheduling tool to book your consultation today. We offer both in-office and telemedicine consultations, but body contouring is an in-office treatment.
